ORGANISTS & CANTORS:
Cantors and organists assist the congregation in their sung prayer. These musicians require formal musical training and are required to audition and to interview.

ADULT CHOIR:
The Adult Choir enhances the quality of worship with choral and instrumental music regularly at the Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass from September through May or June, along with some holy days and other concerts throughout the year. Rehearsals are held on Thursday night from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. The music encompasses a variety of styles ranging from Gregorian chants to contemporary works.

CONTEMPORARY ENSEMBLE:
The Contemporary Ensemble regularly sings at the Sunday 5:00 p.m. Mass throughout the year, except the month of August. They also sing for Penance Services and other special liturgical celebrations throughout the year. The music is primarily contemporary, although they provide an eclectic array of vocal music. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday night from 8:00 to 9:30 pm.

ALTAR SERVERS:
Boys and girls (age 10 and older) and families are eligible to assist the priests at Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Training for new servers takes place in November.

EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION:
Appointed by the pastor.

MINISTERS OF HOSPITALITY:
The ushers welcome arriving parishioners, assist in seating, take the collections, distribute bulletins, and help in emergencies.

LECTORS:
Lay men and women selected to serve at the liturgy by reading the Word of God. Training for new Lectors takes place in the Fall.

SACRISTANS:
Volunteers care for the vestments, altar linens, and sacred vessels. They also maintain the sanctuary.

CHILDRENS' LITURGY OF THE WORD:
Takes place during the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturdays from September through May, and then on selected Saturdays from June through August. Children ages 5 through 10 go to a separate place for their own celebration of the Liturgy of the Word with readings adapted to their age and ability from the approved Children’s Lectionary. An adult leader leads the liturgy and then gives a reflection on the readings with the children participating. People are needed to lead and assist the children.

PASTORAL CARE OF THE SICK:
Lay men and women who have been appointed as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion take communion to sick people in the hospital, nursing home or at home. Training is provided through the Archdiocese and the parish
