On Saturday, July 1st, the Evangelization Committee hosted a lecture talk presented by Fr. Andrew Clyne who spoke on “How to Evangelize by Doing Nothing: On Cultivating the Stillness Necessary for Communion”. The talk briefly treated the topic of “doing nothing” as the ground for evangelization, with a discussion of the challenges we face to the stillness we must cultivate, especially in the form of distractions and rivals for our attention. Fr. Clyne’s lecture was inspiring. It was a lively and sincere group discussion. We are grateful for the amazing response of our parishioners with about 40-50 people in attendance and donations amounting to $220 which will support the works and mission of our St. Jane de Chantal Evangelization Committee. Father Clyne prepared a copy of his remarks from the lecture. For those who were unable to attend and are interested in reading them, click HERE!
