Fr. Jimmy Morgan presents: The Liturgy as a Place of Encounter: Reflecting on the Apostolic Letter, Desiderio Desideravi
Saturday, Sept. 30th | 12 pm - 1:30 pm
June 29, 2022, Pope Francis promulgated his Apostolic Letter Desiderio Desideravi. In this letter, he calls the faithful to a deeper experience of the Liturgy and encourages our active participation in the Mass. Pope Francis wrote, “With this letter, I simply want to invite the whole Church to rediscover, to safeguard, and to live the truth and power of the Christian celebration. I want the beauty of the Christian celebration and its necessary consequences for the life of the Church not to be spoiled by a superficial and foreshortened understanding of its value”(DD 16). Fr. Morgan will analyze key points and concepts from this letter. He will help us learn how to have a more profound encounter with Christ in the Liturgy and give us ways to live Liturgy outside of the doors of the Church. Join the Evangelization Committee for this wonderful opportunity on Saturday, September 30th, 12 Noon – 1:30 pm in Caulfield Hall. Light lunch will be served.
