Ms. Deborah Brocato, President and Chair of Health Not Harm - Maryland, will be speaking in Caulfield Hall on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 11am-12pm, immediately after the 10am Mass. Ms. Brocato will discuss the Maryland legislature’s proposed bill to make physician-assisted suicide legal; as well as the amendment that takes away parental rights slated to be on the 2024 November election ballot. The amendment seeks to take away parental rights: children could have certain treatments and surgeries without parental permission and without parental knowledge. It will be important that all people of faith keep our elected officials in our prayers as they address a wide array of very important issues this year.
