Blessing of the Memorial Tree Project
The Memorial Tree Project under the direction of the St. Jane Frances de Chantal Environmental Committee has been completed! Thirty two newly planted trees surround the campus. In honor of the Feast of St. Francis, Fr. Giese will bless these trees on the morning of Sunday, October 1st from 11 am to noon. Donors, their families, and all parishioners are invited to attend this blessing, and to walk the grounds to see these beautiful trees andmemorials. Many happy memories can be revisited.
Blessing of Animals and Pets
Also in celebration of the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of pets and animals, Fr. Giese and Fr. Morgan will be offering a blessing of animals on Sunday, October 1st between 2-3pm at the Mary Garden. For those who would like to remain in their vehicle and would like to have their pets blessed inside their car, please inform us ahead of time (now through Thursday, September 28) by emailing the parish office at [email protected] or call at 301-530-1550.
