All young adults (age 21-35) are invited to St. Jane de Chantal’s first Young Adult Dinner on Saturday March 8, at 6 pm in Seton Center. Please come out to meet some of the other Young Adults in our parish community. We’ll enjoy friendship over a potluck dinner, and Fr. Morgan will give a brief reflection on ‘Lent and the Temptation in the Desert.’ Since this is a potluck dinner, please bring a dish or some drinks to share.

Walk – Jog – Run – Sprint! Come join us at the 2025 De Chantal Dash, the main fundraiser for the school this year. The Dash will be held on the morning of May 3. It will feature a 5K Run, 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, the ever-popular Tot Trot, and conclude with a post-race breakfast and the Dash Bash. Click for more details!

The Girl Scout troops of St. Jane de Chantal Parish will be selling Girl Scout cookies after all Masses this weekend, February 22 and 23, to support their troop activities like camping and service projects. Cash is the preferred method of payment, and each box of cookies are priced at $5 - $6. Get your favorite cookies: Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Di-Dos, Trefoils, Savannah Smiles, S’mores, and gluten-free Toffee-Tastics.

Sodality invites the women of the parish to gather on Saturday, March 15, 2025, after the 8:30 am Mass in Caulfield Hall, for a Lenten Morning of Recollection. The program will run from 9:00am - 11:00am with Father Alex Wyvill, parochial vicar of St. Bartholomew's Parish, leading us in “Unlocking Prayer as a Gift” as a way to experience our relationship with Christ in a new way. Physician Assisted Suicide is again being debated in the Maryland House of Delegates. Please join us on Sunday, February 9th immediately following the 10:00 am mass in Caulfield Hall for a short video and information session about the dangers of Physician Assisted Suicide Legislation. Bishop Evelio Menjivar-Ayala will celebrate the Annual Wedding Anniversary Mass to honor the Vocation of Marriage on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. This Annual Mass is a celebration of the living vocation of all couples who provide a Catholic witness to the beauty of the Sacrament of Matrimony and will take place during National Marriage Week, February 7–14. Any couple is welcome to attend no matter their anniversary year. The annual communal reconciliation service during Advent will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:00 pm in Church. After a brief Liturgy of the Word, priests will be available to hear individual confessions.

The Ladies of Charity of St. Jane de Chantal, will open their “Religious Items Store” for the first time on Sunday, December 22 after the 10:00 a.m., Mass, in conjunction with the “Donuts with St. Nick” event in Caulfield Hall. Consider giving a religious gift for Christmas this year, and come see the items we have in the store on December 22!

The Pro-life Committee thanks everyone who bought Christmas cards last weekend in support of Right to Life of Montgomery County. For anyone still wishing to purchase cards, please contact Lisa Tennant at 301-897-5412.

Throughout November - December, St. Jane De Chantal's Sandwich Ministry is also accepting donations of Winter Clothing along with prepared sandwiches every Friday morning from 9 am-9:15 am in the church parking lot. Collections will be delivered to local organizations that assist the poor and homeless in our area. Click to learn more!

Families interested in enrolling children for the 2024-25 school year are invited to attend the next Open House at St. Jane de Chantal School on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 9:00 am. Parents should plan to spend about 90 minutes and will have the chance to meet Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton, tour classrooms and meet teachers. Applications and information about enrollment for next school year will be available. Attendees must register by sending an email to [email protected].
