The annual communal reconciliation service during Advent will take place on Tuesday, December 10, at 7:00 pm in Church. After a brief Liturgy of the Word, priests will be available to hear individual confessions.
The Ladies of Charity of St. Jane de Chantal, will open their “Religious Items Store” for the first time on Sunday, December 22 after the 10:00 a.m., Mass, in conjunction with the “Donuts with St. Nick” event in Caulfield Hall. Consider giving a religious gift for Christmas this year, and come see the items we have in the store on December 22!

Throughout November - December, St. Jane De Chantal's Sandwich Ministry is also accepting donations of Winter Clothing along with prepared sandwiches every Friday morning from 9 am-9:15 am in the church parking lot. Collections will be delivered to local organizations that assist the poor and homeless in our area. Click to learn more!
Families interested in enrolling children for the 2024-25 school year are invited to attend the next Open House at St. Jane de Chantal School on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 9:00 am. Parents should plan to spend about 90 minutes and will have the chance to meet Mrs. Elizabeth Hamilton, tour classrooms and meet teachers. Applications and information about enrollment for next school year will be available. Attendees must register by sending an email to [email protected].

Thursday, November 28 is Thanksgiving. The only Mass at St. Jane will be celebrated at 10:30 am, and the Poor Box on Thanksgiving day will benefit St. Martin’s Cloak. The Parish Office will be closed on November 28 and 29.
On the weekend of November 16 and 17, the Pro-Life Committee will have Christmas cards available for sale after all Masses in the church narthex. The proceeds will benefit Right to Life of Montgomery County.

An author book signing event will be held on Saturday, November 9 after the 5pm Mass, and on Sunday, November 10 after the 8am & 10am Masses. Only a limited number of books will be available during the book signing event. If you have pre-purchased your copy before Sunday, October 20 using the QR Code provided by the Parish, or by cash or checks paid through the parish office, your book will be ready for pick up during the author’s book signing event.

The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be celebrated on Monday, December 9. Recently this November, Cardinal Gregory has granted that Catholics in the Archdiocese of Washington are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass on this day. While this dispensation is available, all are encouraged to take advantage of the graces of the holy day, by attending Mass or by engaging in other acts of prayer, charity, and Christian witness. Saturday, November 2 is All Soul’s Day. In commemoration of all the faithful departed, Mass will be celebrated each day during November for the All Souls Intentions. If you wish your beloved deceased relatives and friends to be remembered in these 30 Masses, please use the envelope found in your monthly mailer packets or those available in the church narthex tables. If you contributed to the All Souls Intentions using Faith Direct and wish to provide the names of your deceased family and friends, please use the envelopes available in the church narthex and write “Faith Direct” on the back flap side of the envelope.
Join the Evangelization Committee on Sunday, October 13 in Caulfield Hall, after the 10am Mass as Brother Pius Henry O.P. talks on “The Scriptural Foundations of the Mass” focusing on our love and deep devotions to the Holy Eucharist. The Gabriel Project crib will be in the Church narthex during the entire Respect-Life Month of October. Please support the unborn babies, their toddler siblings and their mothers and fathers in need. All of which are current and future clients of the Gabriel Project. Throughout the month of October, please help us fill the crib generously with your donations of baby and toddler items such as clothing, shoes, coats, and small toys, as well as essentially needed grocery gift cards. The women of the parish are invited to join Sodality on Wednesday, October 2, for Mass at 7pm in the church followed by a lasagna dinner in Caulfield Hall. This is a great opportunity to worship with others, meet women in the parish, catch up with old friends, and enjoy a delicious dinner! There will be a Parish Food Drive this Saturday, September 21, from 10 am to 12 noon, at the front door entrance of the Church facing Old Georgetown Rd. The beneficiaries are Bethesda Help, Sacred Heart Church and Catholic Charities. Volunteers will be collecting the food from your car for your convenience. Click to learn more!
